The NBA Summer League rolled on Monday afternoon, with the ex-MWC trio of Stephen Zimmerman, Christian Wood and Gian Clavell all making appearances. Here is a recap of their individual performances:
Stephen Zimmerman, Orlando Magic
There wasn't much production out of the former Runnin' Rebel on Monday. Zimmerman played for nine minutes, went 0-1 from the field and turned the ball over twice. He also committed two fouls over the 540-second span.
Christian Wood, Dallas Mavericks
Wood continues to make his presence felt on his new team. He came off the bench and recorded 17 minutes of playing time, going 6-10 from the field for 16 points, as well as four rebounds and two assists. He could see his name on the starting lineup soon if this trend holds.
Gian Clavell, Miami Heat
Clavell struggled mightily from the field Monday, connecting on just one of his eight field goal attempts. He missed a half-dozen threes, and had one rebound and one block over 18 minutes. This is his first disappointing shooting performance as a member of the Heat after raising eyebrows in his first two appearances.
The Utah Summer League games began Monday, but no former Mountain West players were in action.
