(Maybe) new project of mine in a retrofitted level editor I created a few months back. While lately I have been teetering between many dichotomies of production (pixel graphics vs. others, 2D vs. 3D, traditional game design vs. experimentalism) it is comforting to do a heartfelt iteration on 2D zelda design. I have enamoured myself with those games for so long, doing my take on it feels fitting? Yet part of me also feels guilt at the thought of not doing something more challenging to the medium and personally ambitious. I dunno, I can grow in multiple directions. At the very worst, everybody loves send-ups to old Zelda games (especially when they're not a tedious slog). What do you think?
