New Year. New...Anything?

Yup. But I'm not zooming into 2018 with grand designs. I'm going to take it one day at a time, one project at a time. I've got some client work to do on top of my own stories that need telling.

So here are some goals for the coming year. In no particular order:

-Write the Space Rockabillies novel, dammit.
-Submit more short fiction.
-Which means I should write more short fiction.
-Record, and make available, some Misguided Meditations.
-Which means I should write more of the Misguided Meditations.

All the while I'll be taking client work at varying intervals (currently open for February - April), and dealing with all the things that come with CPTSD healing and chronic pain. Oh, and I want to visit the midwest. Right now, I am not planning on doing any conventions as a guest, including the newly rebranded Phoenix Comic Fest (formerly Phoenix Comic Con.) If asked, I might attend a small, local gig, but I'm not going to do anything major.

I also don't foresee that I'll be doing much freelance work for Cracked.com. The shake-up there has made that job a lot more tenuous, and with everything else that I want to do, the hours I'd put in to researching and developing pitches aren't as likely to produce actual payment. And a gal's gotta make that cash, ya know?

So that's what I'm NOT doing... here's what I *am* doing to meet some goals.  I'm going into a recording studio tomorrow to put at least one Misguided Meditation in the proverbial can. I'll be partnering with JourneyFrog Audio Services who will not only be recording and engineering the sound aspect, he's also agreed to write some background music. If all goes well, we'll have something up on iTunes and such soon! The goal is to have a bunch of silly guided meditations to give you a relaxing laugh.

What about you? What are you looking forward to in 2018? What do you hope to accomplish? What kind of content do you want to see here?
