Today, Peter Yarrow and I went into the studio together.

We recorded four songs, and it was a blast.

I picked him up this morning at his apartment in Manhattan, we rode the subway together, where a dude tried to make a witty joke about the guitars we were carrying and Peter retorted, "they're machine guns."

We talked about his recent trip to Israel and Palestine, and we talked about Raejynn in LaPlant. We talked about music- a lot. But mostly we talked about our families and our experiences growing up. Mine in Green Bay, and his in Manhattan.

He is a kind-hearted soul, working for peace with his every waking moment.

We arrived at the studio, and it was really fun to watch him interact with my tattoo-decorated producer. They got along great. Mostly because Peter knew about every single piece of equipment that Chris (the producer) uses. He's the real deal.

Peter flipped out when he realized that we'd be recording to tape. This is what they used to do in the 60s and 70s, so Chris thought it would be awesome to do today as well. It makes for a warm and rich sound. I really think you'll love it.

We recorded four songs. We did them live with two voices and two guitars. There was a lot of smiling, a lot of giggling, and of course, a lot of music making.

So- stay tuned for videos and recordings coming your way so soon!!

(Let me know in the comments if you want to know which four songs we sang, or if you'd prefer to wait and extend the surprise!)

Talk soon, Kristen
