This song pops into my brain quite often, and I am not sure exactly why that is. Granted, there's a great hook, the songwriting is top notch, as is the original performance on the album. The chorus is also a fairly great, accurate statement.
I discovered the first two Joe Jackson albums decades after they were released, and the whole "I'm the Man" album especially blew me away. Such high energy, and expert pop craftsmanship. I haven't worked my way through the entire Joe Jackson back catalog, but there are gems all over the place.
This was also incredibly fun to play, and maybe that shows. A few mistakes in there, but probably as good as I was going to get that day.
