Not a lick of art was done today...
It's almost 11pm and I'm going to head to bed here shortly. I spent the lion-share of the day working on our back patio. It has been so humid and warm that I've put it off far too long. I decided, regardless the weather, to get started. It was hot, sticky work. I'm not done but well over 50% there. I notice that when things look more intentional, I feel better. When my environment feels pleasing to my senses, I enjoy an internal feeling of enhanced freedom and spaciousness. (And that's a perfect place for creativity to come out and play!)

As I swept up all the fallen and dried bay leaves from our tree, I could feel just how much of a toll things being out of order has on me. I weeded the pavers and trimmed an overgrown Elephant Ear palm. I cleared the cobwebs off of the patio furniture. I washed the windows and pruned the bougainvillea. There's still more to do. But humidity and heat be damned, I'm motivated now! I've made it this far. I can't wait to finish it up. It's going to feel so good enjoying that space again.  Ahh... I'm thinking I will transport my easel out under the umbrella. Plein air painting, here I come! :)
