I've explained this on an old post but I want to write more about how I do lineart and how even some little TLC can make a huge difference.

Made this headshot sketch particularly for this post. I deliberately drew the lineart in a consistent 2px width.

Lineweight

Pink parts represent the extra line width I added. Once I'm satisfied with the results, I change the extra lines colours to match the original lineart.

This could take a few minutes to many hours depending on the complexity of the piece. Personally, I think it's worth the effort.
