Oh no... It's beginning...

I just wanted to let you all know that I have actually started shooting my first series of tutorials. Based on request - (and good logic) - I'm working on three videos discussing how to texture, paint and flock a playing surface as a start. I started shooting, and after I realized I was about to take 2 hrs to describe applying sand to a board, I realized that I need to pare it down some. *grin* I want to give more detail than I think most people would stomach. So I started re-shooting, and I'm aiming for an hour a section. Working on Vimeo, trying to figure out how to set up the lights and cameras, scripting the video, recording, and starting the editing, I've done about 25+ hours of work on it - and it's not done. **shudder** But some of that is learning curve, and I won't have to do it again. I did however realize that my Sony Bloggie (my close cam) is a piece of s**t for these videos, so I'm going to be picking up another T4i/T5i to fix that. I found a used one that looks like a good deal. However, I also realize that I really, really need a new computer to edit this kind of work. I have no idea how long it will take to render an hour long video, but I think it might take over 15 hours. :( So, I'm going to continue banking your funds until I can get the new computer. (I can get by with my Inspiron i5 until then.) Let me extend a huge thanks to all of you for your support. Aside from helping me work towards a new computer (which means a TON to me), just believing in me has really pushed me to work on these tutorials and that holds a lot of weight. Once I have the series ready I'll let you know. In the meantime, when I have one done, I would like to run it by my tutorial level patrons and get some feedback. So stay tuned...
