Pagan Barrows and Catholic Frescoes in Sweden
 

This is my first patron post. It is public so everyone can see the video. I will only make private videos if they are requested by patrons.


In this video I consider the grave of Reverend Edward Evan Rowsell. I

like to visit the graves of my departed kin, as this was a traditional

practice among Germanic peoples of old.



The video also looks at the royal barrows at Uppsala in Sweden which mark the graves of pagan kings of old. Since it was the most important pagan cite in Sweden, it became an important Christian site too, and a church was built in the

12th century.



The walls boast some of the rare and beautiful

Catholic paintings of Sweden that survived the reformation. Even better

examples can be seen at Härkeberga Church.
