Sooooo this has caused us quite a lot of headaches these past few days with quite a few of our Patreon members cancelling their pledges here due to previously announced new fees that were going to kick in later this month and be charged direct to Patrons. THANKFULLY Patreon has listened to the complaints of MANY people including creators such as ourselves, and patrons like you out there and tossed this stupid idea in the bin where it belongs. Thanks to all those that have been messaging us and
We have really been trying to push that it doesn't matter how much you pledge, that even $1 can make a huge difference if enough of you commit to that and this proposed change actively discouraged people from supporting creators at low levels by making the fees disproportionate to their pledge amount.
But thankfully Patreon have listened to these concerns and all goes back as it was. I had a very productive meeting with the Patreon head office team in San Francisco in late October and know they are trying to do great things for artists like ourselves and we'll continue to work closely with them to ensure it's the best possible experience for all our members. I'm going to do a video focusing on my time meeting with Patreon in the USA shortly as well!
So if you were one of those people that cancelled and downgraded your Patreon membership in the past week... we hope you now reconsider.
