My trouble with creating the 2nd installment of Raccoons continues, and it is compounded by the fact that my patreon account keeps charging folks on the first of the month, regardless of whether or not content has been successfully distributed. This was a really great way for me to run my campaign last year when I was doing my monthly books, because there was a timeline/book format/printing schedule automatically built in to the process, but I am going to change this campaign to be PER CREATION, instead of PER MONTH, because that makes vastly more sense for Raccoons, which is much more of an creative undertaking than the diary strips were.
Here is how this new plan will work: I have paused my account so that it does not charge anyone on May 1st: the account will continue to be paused until I complete the 2 issues of Raccoons for March and April's payments respectively*. When I unpause this page, I will switch from the monthly payment schedule, to the per creation payment schedule, which means that you will only be charged when a new issue of Raccoons is available digitally/in print (and I can guarantee that will never be more than once per-month). I think this arrangement is much better for both me as a creator (less stress about forcing content) and you as a patron (not paying for content that hasn't been created yet).
Thank you for sticking with me as this comic subscription goes through growing pains: I'm very excited about the things that I have been writing for Raccoons, but there has also been a lot of self-editing involved in the process, which is honestly a pretty new experience for me!
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you have! I truly appreciate your support,
*If you wish to receive a refund for March and April's payment, and would no-longer like to subscribe, feel free to email me and I will return your payment with much apologies that it has not been as easy to tackle this beast of a project as it was to work on my diary strips!
