Another weekend, another preview! This is a preview of the first tutorials that will be available this month.
It is a simple tutorial, part one of what I hope to make a series, of how to create your own realistic, dynamic, story-driven poses based on photographic reference. This one uses photographs made by the AWESOME SenshiStock at deviantArt (http://sensistock.deviantart.com) who generously gave me her permission to use her fine work to make tutorials with! She specifically goes out of her way to make beautiful photos that artists can use for drawing reference, and the very same qualities that make these a valuable asset for traditional artists can help us, too! If you need photo-reference, make sure to check her gallery, but make sure to read her rules, too!!! It's VERY important to always check a stock artist's requirements before using their work!!
This particular tutorial utilizes a premade pose as a "starter" pose to get us part-way towards the pose that we want. Further tutorials will cover the more difficult endeavor of posing figures based on photographs entirely from scratch; something that is really useful, especially for new figures (like Star!) or figures that we just don't want to purchase a ton of superfluous poses for when all we need is -one- specific pose!
