Today we interview Mark Harris, Chief Technologist @ NVIDIA. Mark coined the term GPGPU (General-Purpose computation on Graphics Processing Units), and has been using GPUs to do general purpose computing for well over a decade. You can read the blog post and get links to iTunes/RSS here: http://www.programmingthrowdown.com/2016/05/episode-54-programming-for-gpu.html
You may have noticed that we have a snazzy new logo! We are also working on getting Programming Throwdown apparel made with the new logo. Once we are sure the merch looks good, we will start giving a few lucky (i.e. random) Patreon subscribers free t-shirts!
As with last month, we skipped the news/tools/books sections to give Mark as much time as possible. If you would like to support the show, please look at our past books of the show ( http://www.programmingthrowdown.com ), subscribe to the show on patreon ( https://www.patreon.com/programmingthrowdown ), or use our Audible link to create an account on Audible ( http://www.audibletrial.com/programmingthrowdown ).
Thanks so much for your support, and happy hacking!
