This year I decided to create two main puzzles of different complexity/difficulty levels. Both puzzle grids are a set of three overlapping sudoku grids similar to half of last year's calendar. The 'Regular Track' will follow that same formula of a hodge-podge of clue types leading to a complete solution.
The new 'Junior Track' will be much simpler and easier. Number Soup puzzles will be provided most days and will solve for entire blocks of the answer grid at a time. I've spaced these out so that every few days, there will be enough information from previous days to solve a block with sudoku logic, at which time I'll prompt solvers to do so, possibly with some hints to get started. A few enterprising juniors may notice these spots ahead of time and attempt to venture forward early; whether or not to do so is up to the puzzler and/or their guide.
So begins the 6th edition of the #PuzzleAdventCalendar from The Griddle. I hope it lives up to at least some of the hype. It always tests my endurance, but I think folks will enjoy seeing some of the stuff that's been lurking in my notebook as far as bonus puzzles go. Wish me luck!
P. S. I'm not charging patrons for every puzzle that gets posted. I plan to only charge for the 1st and the 25th. If you enjoy the calendar and feel generous, check out my puzzling supply wishlist or share my Patreon campaign with a friend that might be interested in backing my blog.
