Howdy y'all!
The votes are in and we have a date for my very first livestream!
Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11 am PST. (Which would be 2:00 P.M. in New York and 8:00 P.M. in Berlin.)
This is for Patrons only and you can sign up for it right now at:
https://www.crowdcast.io/e/alexwoolfson01/
Just click Save My Spot on that landing page to sign in with Patreon. Once you've reserved your spot, you'll be able to click the Ask A Question link at the bottom of the event page to come up with questions for me to answer (and vote up the questions from fellow Patrons.)
This is the first time I'm doing this, so I hope there will be some good questions from y'all. I happy to answer questions about the story, my process, future plans, whatever interests you!
Crowdcast also has a chat feature so I'll be able to interact with y'all live that way too during the livestream.
Do I need special software?
Nope. You can just use your regular browser—if you've reserved a spot, the video will just show up at that URL. Supposedly it works best in Chrome (I noticed a slight delay in Safari on my MacBook), but any browser will work.
The only limitation seems to be Safari on iPhone. You'll be able to watch the live video fine, but I think there might be an issue with chat. They do have a free iPhone app that works great, though, that lets you use all the livestream features on your iPhone/iPad.
What if you can't make it to the livestream?
No worries. Crowdcast immediately creates a replay video once the livestream is over at the same URL. You should still click Save My Spot—you'll get notified when that replay video is available and you can watch it when you have time.
I can't wait to hang out with y'all!
It's been a while since I've gone to a convention, so I really miss getting able to chat with you in real time. If you think you can make it, please join! (And if this turns out to be something y'all like, we'll do it again!)
See you Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11 am PST!
