Hello, lovelies.
I haven't felt up to crafting any pithy blog posts recently, so when I got fed up looking at my computer and my tablet and my phone over and over yesterday I hauled off to the park and walked in circles and recorded this dispatch about some of the stuff that's been going through my brain instead. It was a huge relief to move my body and wave my hands and imagine just getting to talk to you all instead of writing the next Great American Blog Post. I feel like I'm always trying to capture the sensation of catching up with a room full of friends without falling prey to the strange dual-nature of trying to making a living off it.
Which is, of course, hard when I do (indirectly) make a living off it.
Anyway, here's twenty minutes of rambling. The photo on this post is the view I had for a half hour after finishing the recording, lying on my back on a picnic table and watching the clouds unspool in the sky. I did a lot of cloud watching on the Wayward Retreat and I'm here to tell you that it's the goddamn best. Give it a shot this week.
I hope you're all hanging in there through the summer months—thriving, even.
Much love,
Lucy
