Reshoot - Behind the Scenes 02 - Colour

Richard proposed the idea of changing the colour palette during the game but reusing graphic elements.  In this example I have created a base palette (Gold, reds, oranges, blue/greens) 

The Base colour palette below shows which colours are able to be collided with (the tick represents collidable colours) so with careful settings you can have explosions that don't kill you and foreground elements that can.

The first strip of colours is my neat setup of colour ramps (orange/reds, blue/greens/ brown/gold/white), the second set above the ticks is the actual/required colour palette placement.
