Inktober, A Month of Killers day 24: Sadako Yamamura, from Hideo Nakata's 1998 film, Ring! Another example of the rare female movie boogeyman, playing on the typical symbolism of a young girl embodying vulnerability and virtue to make this subversion of that idea extra-creepy. (Also, her deal is doing that thing that is pretty much guaranteed to scare the bejeezus outta me in a horror movie, which is breaking the fourth wall. Especially since she is in a video tape--like the one you are watching--and she crawls straight out towards you to come kill her victims through the television set--like the one you are watching! Eeeeeee!!) (It's fun!)
