It's been nearly 7 years since I started writing. Yes, I know, it's been a really long time since I began writing my stories for everyone to read, and looking back there's no better example of how far I've come than my very first story, the one that started my writing career. The fanfiction, Rosario Vampire: Brightest Darkness. It was, and still is (subtle brag), the world's longest running fanfiction of the anime/manga series and, also slightly bragging, one of my best creations to date. Yes, Chronicles of Eden has become the light novel series I'm well known for, but it was this fanfiction that started everything for me.
It was this fanfiction that I haven't updated in almost 4 years. The same fanfiction that is still racking up high numbers of views per day and prompting many readers and fans to ask me when the series will be continued. So here's an official update.
Soon. Yes, I know I've said that word before many times, and the amount of vagueness behind it was staggering, but hear me out. Late last year I wanted to begin revising the entire saga, and it's sister story, Rosario Vampire: A Game of Chance, to have the same level of quality and writing style that I use in my current books. You know, give it a good polish so the entire story looks nice. I even reached out to many fans who wanted to help with the revisions. And as of now, it hasn't made much progress. And I can understand why, this is a fanfiction after all, and one monstrous one at that. It's rather hard to and time consuming to go through it all and update it, especially for people who have other obligations in life, as we all do.
And of course there's the fact that writing is now my career and main source of income. Yes, I do bring in some money with Patreon and DeviantArt, but nowhere near enough to live off of. Selling my books is important not only in keeping my stories alive but also feeding me now as I depend on the income to survive. And let me tell you, it is it's own hardship that I willingly endure. But, that doesn't mean I've forgotten about the other stories I want to write and explore. Not just with Demons of Aether and Nightworld, but also the one story that truly holds a special place in my heart, RV: BD.
So here is the update for what I have going on in my worklist. One, writing the next Chronicles of Eden book, of course. Two, preparing the third Boxed Set for Chronicles of Eden, hooray! Three, a few chapters of the next Demons of Aether book have been competed but not finalized yet, okay. And four, the next chapter of Rosario Vampire: Brightest Darkness - Act VII.
Yes, the next chapter of the fanfic has been officially started and is being worked on in my spare time as we speak. The reason is this; I'm tired of waiting for it to continue as well. I'll deal with revising the other Acts later, I'll finish A Game of Chance eventually, but dammit, I want more RV: BD just like everyone else does.
Make no mistake, Chronicles of Eden still has my main focus as it's not only one of my favorite stories to write, but it's also a necessity to create for paying bills. However, I want to make an effort to continue the story that began my writing career for me, and also one that has a very large fanbase who have been waiting patiently all this time for an update. Now, I'm not able to get a chapter a day done like I used to be able to do, but I will do my best to get the next chapter of the story out and work to continue the story that everyone has been eagerly awaiting all these years as soon as I can. I don't want any of my stories to hang in limbo and be left unfinished, and I don't want any of my loyal readers and fans to miss out on what I have planned with them.
So there's your long-awaited update. When is the story continuing? Soon. And by that I mean this year, hell, early this year if I can help it. I just hope everyone will still enjoy it after all this time. As always, thanks for your patience and understanding, and I hope you continue to support me with my writing. If you like my novels and books online please do leave a review and share with your friends. If you want to become a supporter here on Patreon, any amount you donate will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading, and as always, stay tuned for more updates.
