Violin: Zoe Kushubar

Piano: Zandi Lee

A duet between the violin and piano, this is the song that plays in my head every time I see the person I love most in the world. It is another piece which toys with a simple theme, though this one is not so straightforward and simple. The keys shift around through the circle of fifths, while the piano and violin exchange the theme and the repetitive beat of sixteenth notes hammering away. I suppose it is about love in some strange way. It could be about crossroads—not the soul and exchange and the devil—but the innocuous moments in life that lead to beautiful things.

(I'll post the recital in individual pieces, so that you don't have to watch the setup and awkward moments in between the actual music)

(EDIT: Some of the pieces seem to have issues with embedding? I'm working on it, but in the meantime, have provided links to the video in the descriptions. Sorry about that.)
