Science Conclusively Verifies Humans Are Frugivores

By Cullen Smith @ Lifting TheVeil

This article could get VERY LENGTHY, VERY quickly, but I'll keep it short and cite all the sources.

William Clifford Roberts, M.D. is an American physician specializing in cardiac pathology. Read about which species get heart disease and why.

Given the area of absorptive intestinal mucosa to body size ratio, what we are evolutionarily equipped to adequately 1. digest  2. absorb 3. utilize and 4. eliminate is primarily #fruit as an ideal food source.

Dr Michael Greger of writes:

"In populations where many of our deadliest diseases are practically unknown, such as rural China and rural Africa, they’re eating huge amounts of whole plant foods, up to a 100 grams of fiber a day or more, which is what it’s estimated our Paleolithic ancestors were getting based on dietary analyses of modern-day primitive hunter-gatherer tribes and by analyzing coprolites, human fossilized feces. In other words, #paleo poop.

These most intimate of ancient human artifacts were often ignored or discarded during many previous archaeological excavations, but careful study of materials painstakingly recovered from human paleofeces says a lot about what ancient human dietary practices were like, given their incredibly high content of fiber, undigested plant remains. Such study strongly suggests that for over 99% of our existence as a distinct species, our gastrointestinal tract has been exposed to the selective pressures exerted by a fiber-filled diet of whole plant foods. So, for millions of years before the alleged "first stone tools and evidence of butchering," our ancestors were eating plants. But what kind of plants?

One way you can tell if animals are natural folivores or #frugivores is to map the area of absorptive mucosa in their gut ( area that is capable of adequately absorbing and utilizing nutrients of our food) versus their functional body size. (refer to image above)  Folivores are those meant to eat mostly foliage—leaves, while frugivores are better designed to eat fruit. The faunivores, another name for carnivores, eat the fauna.

If you chart animals this way, they fall along distinctive lines. So, where do humans land? (refer to image above) Here’s our functional body size, and here’s our absorptive area. So, while eating our greens is important, it appears the natural dietary status of the human species is primarily that of a fruit-eater." - Dr Michael Greger- physician and lead nutritionist at

It must be made crystal clear that what people (tribes, cultures, ancestors) eat and ATE is ENTIRELY INDEPENDENT of what we're designed (evolved, equipped ideally) to eat. For example, if tribes migrate(d) to a certain locale or are forced out of an ideal way of life due to cataclysm etc, (such as leaving fruit bearing tropical climates due to sea level rise in ancient prehistory as seen from underwater megalithic stone temples from around the world) then that doesnt mean their way of life currently is the most ideal that the body thrives on, such as "paleo" diet or atkins diet or other FAD BULLSHIT low carb, high fat diets that are EXTREMELY HARMFUL AS CITED CONCLUSIVELY.

"Atkins Diet: Trouble Keeping It Up," discusses a case report of a man who went on a low carb diet, lost his ability to have an erection, and nearly lost his life. That was just one person, though. Researchers at Harvard recently looked at ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE and concluded that low carb diets were “
associated with higher all-cause mortality, higher cardiovascular disease mortality, and higher cancer mortality.
Conclusion: "A low-carbohydrate diet based on animal sources was associated with higher all-cause mortality in both men and women, whereas a vegetable-based low-carbohydrate diet was associated with lower all-cause and cardiovascular disease mortality rates."
High carb, low fat LIFESTYLES are associated with the LOWEST risk and actually REVERSE all cause mortality rates.

excerpt via Jon Stearns:

Do humans have a species specific diet?

Every species in nature has a diet that nature has designed for them.
We have the omnivore species, herbivore species, frugivore species, and the carnivore species. Before we analyze the human species, let's take a look at what kind of diets the other species eat and thrive on.
Raptors (birds of prey

Dogs ,

Horses, Cows (ruminants)
Deer (ungulates)

Humans & primates (HOMONIDS)

When it comes to anatomy and physiology, what others species in nature to we resemble the most out of these categories ?

Why don't all species eat the same?
Why are there even categories?

The digestive tract is designed to eat specific foods depending on what species you belong to. Nature really does make things simple for us. Humans seem to complicate the simplicity, and reality that we are no different then other species in nature. Humans are the most confused species when it comes to the food they eat!
Humans teeth are designed for a diet of fruits, nuts, seeds, sweet vegetables & herbs.
If we were to compare are anatomy to other species in nature what species do we resemble the most? I would say the primates with common sense.

Why do humans complicate things when it comes to the food they consume? We know not to give are pets certain foods, but we don't know how to feed ourselves in order to be healthy!

Look at how closely we resemble the primates that are deigned as biological frugivores.
"Human teeth are not designed for tearing flesh as in the lion, wolf or dog, but rather compare closely with other fruit-eating animals. Human teeth correspond almost identically to the chimpanzees and other frugivores. The complete absence of spaces between human teeth characterizes us as the archetype of frugivore. The "canine" teeth of humans are short, stout, and slightly triangular. They are less pronounced and developed than the orangutan's, who rarely kills and eats raw flesh in its natural environment. Human canines in no way resemble the long, round, slender canines of the true carnivore. Human teeth are not curved or sharp like the wolves or tigers, nor are they wide and flat like the grass and grain-eating species. Human teeth are actually like the fruit-eating monkeys, and the human mouth is best suited for eating succulent fruits and vegetables. It would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for humans to eat raw flesh without the aid of fork and knife. To term our incisor teeth "fangs" or even to liken them as such is outrageous.
Deer have canine fangs and are herbivores.

It's quite obvious to me that humans do in fact have a species specific diet like other species in nature, and it's 99% identical to the chimpanzee fruigivore species.
Fruigivore species is designed to eat at least 95% of there food consumption from fruits!

When we look at the facts and eveidence based on the diet are Anatomy is most compatible with, then you would think we would be more aware of what we should eat! We are so confused it's scary!

If we keep things simple maybe we can get far in healing are bodies simple going back to the foods we are designed to eat instead of following a ridiculous structure of eating a variety of chemistry to meet a specific macro or nutrient quantity.

We go on crono-meter to see if we are meeting a specific daily nutrient content? For what? It's as simple as understanding that every species in nature has a diet designed for them and it's 100% raw and the Homo sapiens are not a special exception to this!

Do we really think that cooking our food and eating other species is healthy? Has intellectualism and unconsciousness brain washed us this bad? Stop wasting your time with crono-meter or meeting a certain macro ratio, and just eat the foods your designed for.
Your designed for fruit so get over trying to justify getting proper nutrition from other places!
Why are we so confused about fruit? Why are the so called "nutritional experts" demonising the very food humans are designed for? I'm so tired of hearing about how getting to much fructose is harmful for you, or it can cause faty liver! Maybe high fructose corn syrup can, but not fresh, whole, ripe and organic fruit of the tree grown in nature!!! Fruit sugar is life and energy for the cells in the human body.
I know that these so called nutritional experts are stuck on vegetable thinking. ("The green movement")
The facts are humans are not designed to eat veggies. The cellulose fibers in the veggies are not even digestible in the humans digestive tract.
There is a good reason we created juice extractors, and there is a good reason why so many people struggle with digesting vegetables.
An herbivore is an organism that feed exclusively or mainly on plants. Herbivores typically have adaptations towards a specialization of eating and digesting plant matter. This could include but is neither limited to nor has to have flatter teeth to grind plant matter, long intestines, gut microbiome to digest cellulose and other hard-to-digest parts of plants.
Do we even come close to resembling horses, cows, elephants, or a deer?
Cows have multiple stomachs for a good reason, because there designed to brake down and digest plant matter, humans aren't.

If someone even tries to claim that veggies are better for us then fruits there stuck on none empirical evidence, and have invested in unconscious "Intellectualism" that holds no water, and should be ignored, rather then praised as health experts or "pioneers" in the health movement.

Saying fruit has too much sugar is like saying water is to wet! If we don't use are common sense, and get back to nature, and eat the food for our natural design, everything will come into balance in its proper time. Fruits are good for you, they are designed for you, and you are a fruigivore species designed for a species specific diet like every other species in nature.
Fruit is the easiest food to digest, which should right there, tip us off that we are biologically designed to eat it. Just because we are able to digest other foods, does not make us fit for their consumption. Omnivores are designed to eat everything. Humans can eat meat, but they are not designed to, which means they are not true carnivores or omnivores.
It's quite Interesting that the very food thats designed for humans, is also the very food that heals them, and detoxify them better then any other foods source.
You can make excuses all day, and try and justify that eating fruit based diets are not healthy for you, but at the end of the day your concepts are just built on theories, and not Built on facts. Imagine you’re the only person on Earth, there is no infrastructure, there are no restaurants, only you and the wilderness. Soon you’ll undoubtably get hungry. What are you going to eat? There are animals running around everywhere, so you could kill one and cook it over a fire. But time is of the essence and you need something to eat now, not later. Besides, the act of killing an unarmed animal and tearing its flesh apart doesn’t exactly sound too appealing.
Detox miracle source book pg. 64
Fructose is the highest energetic form of a monosaccharide or simple sugar. Neurons (nerve cells) especially attract fructose molecules. Fructose enters the cell through diffusion molecules. Fructose enters a cell through diffusion instead of via active transport, which its counterpart glucose uses. Diffusion saves the energy for the body and cells.

Any activity requires energy, including the activity of transporting nutrients across cell walls.

Most nutrients also require a helper or carrier to assist in this movement through the cell wall into the cell. As ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is a cells stored energy, it is used in active transport (the assisted transportation of nutrients across cell membrane walls). Glucose needs insulin to a certain degree as a "utilization hormone" for this active transport. Fructose, on the other hand, requires no ATP or insulin and is simply pulled or absorbed through the cell wall by diffusion.

For diabetics, fructose is perfect.

Raw fruits and vegetables are always your best sources of simple sugars. This is One reason why your blood become stronger and more energetic on these foods.

Foods high in protein and fat and low in sugars, rob your body a vital energy, creates acidosis and elevate blood sugars via hyperlipidemia or intramyocellular lipidemia which is when FAT inside the cell, blocks insulin receptors and creates insulin resistance which blocks sugars from entering the cell to be burned as energy and thus remains circulating in the bloodstream, which what CAUSES the EFFECT known as HIGH BLOOD SUGAR! We now know as a settled FACT or scientific clinical nutrition, that IT'S THE FAT THAT CAUSES DIABETES, NOT THE SUGAR! The elevated blood glucose is only the EFFECT, not the CAUSE.

Simple sugars also aid alkalization of the tissues, which is vital for tissue regeneration and vitality. As stated, WHOLE FRUIT sugar, fructose, (WE ARE NOT CONFUSING FRUCTOSE IN WHOLE FOODS WITH HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP! SHAME ON YOU BRIAN CLEMENTS!) is the highest electrical sugar in nature and is superb your brain and nerve regeneration.
Fruits are good for you, they're designed for you, and they will not hurt you in anyway except for your teeth if you're not eating enough greens for mineralization and acid neutralization. There is no food, supplement, or superfood on this planet that's more superior than fresh ripe organic fruits.

The evidence is clear that humans are frugivores. If we don't except this fact we could never move on to simplicity with what foods we're supposed to eat. The diets of every other species in nature is very simple and not complex. The more simple we keep things the cleaner our bodies will get, and the more healing we will attain from it.
Eat simple, eat what's design for your species, and ignore the theories and intellectual concepts, and stick with the physiological and anatomical facts.

The following is my full presentation series on Protein, titled "The Great Protein Conspiracy"

#Protein is not some mysterious element only found in dead animal carcasses. I get pretty much my ENTIRE DAILY REQUIREMENT OF AMINO ACIDS (better than protein because your body can build whatever it needs to without having to expend massive amounts of adrenal energy to break down large protein molecules)
as well as every other essential vitamin and mineral FROM JUST FRUIT ALONE, BEFORE even eating my afternoon/ evening/ cooked
#VEGAN meals! And it tastes soooooo sweet! Track your nutrition intake at

Protein is the most misunderstood and overhyped nutrient.

Popular myths hide basic facts: what protein is made of, how many kinds of protein there are, what happens to excess protein when you eat too much.

This will DESTROY the health dangers and hazards promoted by the bro-science pseudo nutrition and fitness SUPPLEMENTS INDUSTRY! One of the GREATEST HEALTH CONSPIRACIES EVER.

this is just the first of several lectures I will upload on this topic.

Its even worse what it does to your kidneys and the #lymphatic system. causing renal failure. Especially how it clogs the glymphatic system in the brain, causing stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. protein, particularly animal protein, is actually one of THE DEADLIEST and inflammatory factors in nutrition.

Dr Robert Morse N.D. - The Detox Miracle Sourcebook chapter 4.2 The Whole Truth About Protein: High Protein Diets Can Cause Death

They’ll Have to Rewrite the Textbooks :
From the University of Virginia's article: "The unexpected presence of the lymphatic vessels raises a tremendous number of questions that now need answers, both about the workings of the brain and the diseases that plague it. For example, take #Alzheimer's disease. "In Alzheimer's, there are accumulations of big protein chunks in the brain," Kipnis said. "We think they may be acumulating in the brain because they're not being efficiently removed by these [lymphatic] vessels." (THUS FINALLY PROVING YET AGAIN HOW HIGH PROTEIN DIETS KILL! but hey, you just GOTTA follow all those fad nutrition/ fitness diets now dont ya??)

Alzheimer's = Bacon Brain? Evidence & Prevention

Protein is not the answer. In fact, it’s the problem. In Proteinaholic , Dr. Garth Davis sets the record straight, dispelling the myths that have been perpetuated by doctors, weight loss experts, and the media.

Protein poisoning is epidemic

Proteinaholic documents the simple and easy to understand truth that billions of people have died, and that life on Planet Earth faces extinction, as a direct consequence of product-promoting nutritional myths created and perpetuated by the egg, dairy, meat, poultry, and fish industries. Protein deficiency (clinically diagnosed as Kwashiorkor ) is unknown on any natural diet; protein poisoning is epidemic worldwide.

Do Vegetarians Get Enough Protein?
Nutritional quality indices show plant-based diets are the healthiest, but do vegetarians and vegans reach the recommended daily intake of protein?

Protein Intake & IGF-1 Production
Animal protein consumption triggers the release of the cancer-promoting growth hormone IGF-1.

The Effect of Animal Protein on Stress Hormones, Testosterone, and Pregnancy
What happened to women who were randomized to eat more meat and dairy during pregnancy, and what effect does animal protein consumption have on cortisol and testosterone levels in men?

Protein and Heart Disease
Why is the intake of animal protein associated with heart disease—even independent of saturated fat—and the intake of plant protein protective?

Higher Quality May Mean Higher Risk
The reason animal proteins trigger the release of the cancer-promoting growth hormone IGF-1 more than plant proteins may be because the relative ratios of amino acids in animal proteins more closely resembles our own.

Increasing Protein Intake After Age 65
What is the optimal source and amount of protein for senior citizens?

In addition to creating acidosis, the concentrated proteins, saturated fat, and dietary cholesterol lurking in eggs (and other foods) clogs our lymphatic system, intestines, and colon. The denatured proteins in cooked eggs bind to sialic acid sugars (Neu5Gc), and lead to the formation of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs). These glycated proteins or lipids are known to shorten telomeres and accelerate ageing.

In the June 2010 Journal of the American Dietetic Association, a published study – Advanced Glycation End Products in Foods and a Practical Guide to Their Reduction in the Diet – documents animal-derived foods high in fat and protein as being generally AGE-rich. A February 2014 Korean Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology study, Advanced Glycation End Products and Diabetic Complications, highlights the link between AGEs and incidence of diabetes. The American Journal of Clinical Nutritionpublished a meta-analysis review in January 2016 – Egg Consumption and Risk of Type II Diabetes: A Meta-Analysis of Prospective Studies. In the publication, researchers analyzed 12 cohort studies including over 200,000 participants to search for possible association of egg consumption and risk for type II diabetes.

Putrefying Protein & “Toxifying” Enzymes
Certain gut bacteria can “retoxify” carcinogens that your liver successfully detoxified, but these bacteria can be rapidly suppressed by simple dietary changes.

Bowel Wars: Hydrogen Sulfide vs. Butyrate
Sulfur dioxide preservatives in dried fruit, sulfites in wine, and the putrefaction of undigested animal protein in the colon can release hydrogen sulfide, the rotten egg gas associated with inflammatory bowel disease.

What Animal Protein Does in Your Colon "It’s been estimated that with a typical Western diet, up to 12 grams of #protein can escape digestion, and when it reaches the colon, it can be turned into toxic substances like ammonia."

Which Type of Protein Is Better for Our Kidneys?
Anti-inflammatory drugs abolish the hyperfiltration and protein leakage response to meatingestion, suggesting that animal protein causes kidney stress through an inflammatorymechanism.

Protein Source: An Acid Test for Kidney Function
Dietary Acid Load is determined by the balance of acid-inducing food, such as meats, eggs, and cheeses, offset by base-inducing (“alkaline”) foods, such as fruits and vegetables.

Preventing Kidney Failure through Diet Given how vascular our kidneys are, it should comes as no surprise that animal protein, animal fat, and cholesterol are associated with declining kidney function (microalbuminurea—loss of protein in the urine), which can be an early warning sign not only for kidney failure, but also for heart disease and a shortened lifespan.

How to Prevent Kidney Stones with Diet
Interventional studies support the population data that animal protein consumption appears to markedly increase the risk of kidney stones.

How Not to Die from Kidney Disease
What are the three significant dietary risk factors for declining kidney function?

Treating Kidney Failure through Diet
Not only do plant-based diets appear to prevent kidney function decline, they may also be used to treat kidney failure. Even at the same protein loads, the body is able to better handle phosphorus excretion from plant-based diets, reducing the risk of metastatic calcification.

Diet and lifestyle play the biggest role in lymphatic stagnation.

The lymph transports acidic metabolic waste products from the cells and sequesters pathogenic viruses and bacteria into the lymph nodes, which are the septic tanks of the body. To use a metaphor,  when your sewer or septic system becomes full, it will begin to back up and overflow into the kitchen, which is exactly what happens with lymphatic stagnation. Protein is THE MOST DANGEROUS MACRONUTRIENT when consumed in too high quantities and the wrong type of protein. PERIOD! Anyone that tries to tell you otherwise, is seriously disinformed. see the full article and presentation on that here>

There is no such thing as an "ESSENTIAL PROTEIN." What the body utilizes are essential AMINO ACIDS, which are the building block of protein. When we consume too much protein in general, but especially FOREIGN ANIMAL PROTEINS , then the liver has to overwork to BREAK DOWN all that protein into their AMINO ACIDS in order to even utilize them to synthesize our own endogenous proteins which are what builds our body, and this requires massive amounts of energy which stimulates the adrenal glands and causes them to go "hyper" active, which is the acute stage of disease progression, and eventually burns them out from being hyper active, conversely, causing adrenal fatigue as they then begin to underperform in the "hypo" stage during chronic progression, which eventually causes renal (kidney) failure  and the body is no longer able to adequately filter its acidic load as well as its toxic and pathogenic load which has been sequestered from the healthy cells by the lymph system. This then causes undigested protein molecules to begin to stagnate the lymph and back up into the interstitial spaces between the cells and into the bloodstream, causing autointoxication, inflammation,  where it then causes strokes, Alzheimers and neurodegenerative diseases.

"Food combining is a science unto itself. Many people don’t necessarily pay attention to how they combine their food.
But believe it or not, how we eat is just as important, if not more important, as what we eat.

When we look at our dinner plate, we rarely think about how the food will be broken down or how the body will utilize the food as energy and repair sources. Many times people defeat the purpose of eating “healthy” if they are wrongly combining the foods they eat. Poor food combination can have serious, dangerous and long-lasting negative affects on your GI tract as well as your body ecology. Poor food combination goes beyond uncomfortable bloating and gas. These are only the initial symptoms to a larger phenomena occurring.

If It's not in the groups of this chart, then there's technically many reasons why  it's not fit for human consumption, such as all oils, and animal products.

There are two most commonly recognized patterns of dysbiosis associated with poor food combining, putrefaction and fermentation. Dysbiosis refers to a condition with micro-bacterial imbalances on or within the body. Dysbiosis is mostly associated with the digestive tract. A number of inflammatory diseases within the bowel or involving skin and connective tissue have been reported in association with dysbiosis.

The further from fruit we get, the higher the risk and rate of mortality, and THAT is survival of "the fittest" (least risk for self induced mortality, most in tune, or SYMBIOTIC with our environment)........

Like i said, not everything is touched on in this brief article, i just aim to highlight the main aspect, for further proof and attributed information on this study see the references below and keep searching. ;) But I will continue to update and refine this database as I find time and energy.
