shameless bragging
at the risk of feeding my ego i thought it was quite nice to see OpenSCAD  referenced in an academic paper from MIT. Regardless it is still a strange sort of nice feeling to see it being used like this.

not sure if its a bad or good feeling... more of a "No, i wasn't crazy to spend hundreds of hours sitting in my apartment working on obscure bugs... its actually a useful project and i wasn't completely and totally bonkers for thinking it was cool"

believe me there were some times where ... i felt like OpenSCAD was kind of ... maybe not going to last? i don't know. Fortunately the project leader, Marius Kintel, and a lot of other people on that team are really solid and have the fire in their belly.
