I am excited to get my first video up onto Patreon. This lesson is about learning to play Silk Weavers Exercise or Pa Tuan Chin (8 Pieces of Brocade) It is an exercise-based upon the movements required to use an old silk loom that the workers would step into. Once inside, the worker operated the machine through a series of extensive body movements. These movements would be done with coordination, strength, and smoothness of motion. The form is balanced and straight forward to perform and should be played simply and unadorned. By playing the form, you will find that you become more relaxed, balanced and that you feel smoother in thought and motion.
To jump to different sections I have broken the form into 4 different parts that you can jump to when learning.
Part 1: Right, Left, and both arm press to ceiling 4:54-4:41
Part 2: Shoot arrows Left side, Right side, Right Forward, Left Forward, and Scoop Water 5:42-6:25
Part 3: Riding Bike BackwardsForward Stepping 6:25-6:53
Part 4: Head Circles, Bucket Lift and Ending. 6:53-End
This should help in accessing the form.
