Singing with a cold #5 HUFFING

Coughing is very traumatic for your vocal folds. The skin on your folds is delicate and when you cough you smack them together with great force. If you continue to do this the folds will start to swell, which will affect your speaking and singing voice. Instead of coughing try huffing. Simply open your mouth and breath out hard, its like the beginning part of a cough, work hard to clear your throat without bringing together the vocal folds.
