I scanned a lot of pages from my sketchbooks because I think it's interesting to share the process with you. To be an illustrator is A LOT more than just the final pieces. There is a lot, A LOT of work behind those. A lot of frustrating moments, a lot of practice, a lot of failure but also a lot of success. For me, as the real control freak that I am, is pretty hard to let me fail. Years ago I was more permissive, but with time, I've been building limits on what I should to draw or what I should to share, and at the end of the day, my work becomes toxic, because I don't let myself to enjoy or sketch without aspirations. This means that I won't leave myself to get better or evolve on my work. So, to share those pages with you is also a freedom exercise for me. This is also about not to take some parts of my work too seriously. That's ok. To expose not only the "pretty" is to be humble, to understand that there is beauty in the doodles and in the learning process.
