I was listening to "Snowglobe" by OWEL for the first time and this scene popped in my head. The image was so strong I had to draw it immediately (and almost burned my soup >_>).
One of the strangest things about life for me is how temporary things are, but they don't seem that way, so we get comfortable and settled in the idea that important things in our lives will always be there. However, people come and go in our lives, sometimes without goodbyes. It's like a breeze with a soft whisper as it leaves, leaving you yearning for a feeling of familiarity.
Even if people can't stay in our lives forever, their memory can, and for me often does. Even if that person isn't the same any more or doesn't exist, that familiarity resonates within me, often slowly fading in and out throughout time. Some of my favorite lyrics come from the song "How Deep is Your Love" originally by the Bee Gees, but my personal favorite is the cover by the bird and the bee:
" I want to feel you in my arms again
And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave"
