At 94 years old, Professor John Goodenough (the co-inventor of the modern lithium-ion battery) from the Cockrell School of Enegineering at the University of Texas at Austin and his colleague Maria Helena Braga have announced a brand-new solid state battery that could seriously change the way we think about electric vehicle battery packs.
