A very reliable DCW, Ste Genevieve is crystal clear with a pale straw color. It smells like crisp apples. The flavor is sweet and crisp just-ripe pears. It brings to mind Eddie Izzard's bit about pears and how difficult it is to have them perfectly ripe. This wine is perfectly ripe pears with a touch of honey. I don't typically care for sweet wines, but this one is quite nice. The finish is long and very big in the mouth... but pleasant. I like it.
Aerated: It's a bit sweeter... but still pleasant.
