For my first Patreon creation, here's a song called Every Day in Limbo.
I wrote it on the piano, then performed it once live on the guitar, and finally when I sit down to record it... this is what comes out.
To put it simply, it's about a situation where a page of your life is about to turn but hasn't really quite yet and the next one hasn't started yet either. The feeling of spending your days in limbo in the meantime.
Do you see what I mean? Have you ever experienced that? In which circumstances?
I wrote some context about this song here: https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/76240452/posts/1696653424
I chose to include as cover picture a detail from one of Roman Opalka's paintings as I feel it's the perfect visual description of that feeling., although Opalka spent his entire career as a painter with a strong focus on just the one chapter, never turning the page, until he died in 2011.
If you have any questions or if you'd like to share about your own experience with that feeling... that's what the Slack community is for so don't hesitate!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Love,
Antoine
PS: Here are the lyrics:
How do you spend your time
Every day in limbo?
Do you reflect upon
What's done or what's to come?
Counting the days
Everything's fine
Everything's fine
Day after day after day
How do you sit through this
Every day in limbo?
Can't you see there's nothing?
Nothing to see or feel
Counting the days
Everything's fine
Everything's fine
Day after day after day
Do you reflect upon
What's done or what's to come?
