Long she waited for him, gazing out at the water for signs of her lost love. As seasons changed and time moved forward, still she remained until her bones became one with the earth and the flowers grew from within.


I had wanted to take some new pics to share, but I'm not feeling the best after all the long days last week. So instead I took the chance to play some with a photograph of a recent bust piece I finished. At first I didn't want to sculpt busts and static figures because in my mind's eye I like to see them move. However, I've come to appreciate being able to put together something in a (relatively) short time compared to the dolls. And the still figures create their own challenges in photographing them. Since I can't change their pose, it requires a bit more creativity in angles and lighting to keep the pictures from seeming repetitive.
