"Sycamore: March Morning" Collage
I don't often create collage from life, especially outdoor subjects.  (Imagine working in plein air with  5000 tiny pieces of paper. )  But the sycamore tree outside my window on a March morning looked so beguiling that I couldn't resist.  Focusing in on a section of the trunk makes it somewhat abstract, yet it remains a very good likeness of this particular tree.

Found paper (de-acidified magazine and catalog pages) on archival mat, 10" x 8".

Selected in 2016 for the juried exhibit, "Drawn by Nature," at the John James Audubon Center in Mill Grove, PA. Selected in 2018 for the New Hope Art League annual juried art exhibition.

Available for purchase: $400, or as a reward for Patrons at the Serious Collector ($30/mo) level.
