Taiwan, democracy, anarchism and trust
What should you optimize for if you're trying to reboot democracy? Engagement? Voting? How about fun?

Taiwanese Minister Audrey Tang has found that optimizing for fun creates one of the positive spirals that lead to trust, creativity and then progress on important projects of civic engagement that started after the Sunflower Student Movement in 2014.

After listening to her 2017 PdF talk, I was eager to understand more, so we arranged a video call with her colleague Shuyang Lin, who is working to add Mixed Reality to public discourse in useful ways. The result is the video you see here.

Along the way, we mentioned PDIS (Taiwan's Public Digital Innovation Space), Pol.is, Sli.do, Clay Shirky's talk about the Ise Shrine and more.
