Taking photos of my work for prints
I like to take a photo of my works on bright sunny days for my prints. I'm aware most advice will tell you not to do that, but it works for my style. I try to capture a little bit of the shadows of the paper. It makes the print look more 3D. So I set the collage at a slight angle to the sun for my official shot. The day I shot the lobster, it was cold, 18 degrees! In Northeast Ohio, we can go for a week or two without a sunny day, so I need to take advantage of the sun despite the snow. Needless to say, I make it quick.
