The girls made their first appearance on The Blitz back in March of 2016 when they were 14 years-old with the song, "Will You Be Mine." Since then, Blitz listeners have come to become fans, and even had the chance to see Carly and Martina perform with sixties rock group, The Sixth Generation last summer.
It wasn't long after that, the girls went into writing mode and into the studio to record the EP. We've been watching them on FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter and Periscope. At the same time seeing their many trips to New York. It's encouraging to see twins not only as best friends, but also as creators and business partners. Because, they are not just two teen girls singing, they are business women. Getting their brand out there and finding a following.
Many will say, well, anyone can become a social media star today. While that may be true, you must have the talent to make it last. Show business isn't for everyone, but if it's your blood, it's near impossible to ever shake free of it.
That being said, Carly and Martina have carved out a career for themselves going back as far as the seventh grade. I think it's safe to say, they are in it for the long haul.
This week, Tom Slick will be premiering a new track each day on his show, the Morning Brew. We encourage you to drop by have a listen and let us know what you think! And who knows, maybe we can connect with the girls LIVE this week as well.
The EP is available on their newly revamped website: CarlyandMartina.com and is available for $5.94 or get an autographed copy + digital download for $11.99
Be sure to listen in all this week for who we call the "Dynamic Duo" of Radio Rock 92.6 The Blitz, Carly and Martina.
