BOOK 05 of 66  | Deuteronomy 28

Highlight Verses | Deuteronomy 28:43-44

“The alien who is among you shall be elevated higher and higher above you, and you shall descend lower and lower. He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail….” (NSB)

Some Observations |

Now, these blessings and cursing apply directly to national and Old Covenant Israel. I wonder though if the principals of this covenant apply to Christian nations, former and otherwise, who once were owned by Yeshua Christ? I suspect they are. Consequently, may I pick out but one symptom of these curses which I observe to be so prevalent among the Western nations. We are owned and increasingly owned by aliens. Yes, the indigenous peoples of these islands are increasingly sliding, like excrement off a shovel, into the dung heap of poverty. For sure, it is treasure, and assets of every kind and some working money that really divides peoples, and right here and right now, that treasure is increasingly not in the hands of its indigenous and now mostly indigent people. The rich, of course, always have a bigger buffer zone of assets to be eaten away first of all, however, it is being eaten away. Meanwhile, the poor of the West increase in poverty, and if it were not for the smoke of Skunk, anti-depressants and dumb down soap operas and various other self-indulgent distractions all created for the mentally ill, there would be a revolution. I fear the possible late explosion of ‘Nasty Nationalism,’ however, though it will be late, it will come and it will be messy.

Final Reflections  |

We must return to the Word of God and  the God of the holy Word.

BOOK 05 of 66  | Deuteronomy 29

Highlight Verses | Deuteronomy 29:2-5

Now Moses called all Israel and said to them: “You have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land — the great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great wonders. Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, even to this very day! And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet…...” (NKJV)

Some Observations |

This is an indictment of enormous proportions! For it does not accuse the wandering people of God to see and wonder at the ‘enormous’ miracles of God performed on their behalf, but it testifies of a God sent blindness, or, maybe even, the God allowed heart cataract mistiness of an inability to see the constant and daily miracles of the Lord quite literally strewn around their feet. Not just the heavenly mana, but also their unworn out soles, the preservation of which was a profound and very personal witness to the provision and goodness of God.  They had missed this great and daily miracle, and so often, we who are fed by ravens by the brook so often do the same. Look now; for the people in the wilderness had ignored this miracle, and accepted it as commonplace, yes, they by familiarity, neglect, unthankfulness in the little things, had declared their indifference.

Final Reflections  |

Look, such unthankful indifference led to big blindness. WATCH!
