BOOK 19 of 66  | Psalms 100 & 101

Signpost Words | ‘THE MAGNIFICENT, OLD 100th’

Highlight Verses | Psalms 100:1-5

Make a joyful shout to YAHWEH, all you lands!  Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that YAHWEH, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; à Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.  For YAHWEH is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. (NSB)

Some Observations |

Some commentators will say that this is a resounding call to the diaspora of Israel scattered amongst the nations, however, this command is to all people that on earth do dwell! The temple of YAHWEH, the city of Jerusalem, mount Zion, was to be (and will be) the hub of the earth into which all the spokes of worship would flow. This was the age in which people would come, now is the age in which the church must go and proclaim the Gospel and where people saved can worship YAHWEH through His son in the Holy Spirt and the Truth of God’s word. Our New Antioch, though places of retreat, renewal, and replenishment are never the less, catapults of sending. When local church simply embeds itself in its communities in either village or city and provides spiritual & social services from cradle to grave, it has become a spiritual and socialist entity, a tool for bankrupt and abusive governments, local and national and it has deceived itself and deserted the Great Commission of the YESHUA.

Final Reflections  |

We did not create ourselves, neither did any Alien. We should not recreate ourselves in the devil's image. God’s enduring truth is for this generation, therefore preach it and proclaim it, far and wide.

BOOK 19 of 66  | Psalms 105 & 132

Signpost Words | ‘OF TIMINGS, FIRE AND SAND’

Highlight Verses | Psalms 105:17-19

He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a slave, Whose feet they hurt with fetters. He was laid in iron, until the time that his word came: the word of YAHWEH tried him. (NSB)

Some Observations |

As for me, God seems far too tardy in His timings, indeed, He is forever the ‘too-late Charlie’ in my book. Fortunately for me, I am in God’s book and He is not in mine. Fortunately for us all, I am at God’s beck and call and not He to mine. It is good to know that God is not tied up in responses to cause and effect, no, He is the ultimate cause and effect of our fate, even of His ‘word’ for us, His ‘decree’ concerning us, even our Divinely designed ‘destiny.’

Final Reflections  |

Until the fullness of God’s timing concerning the ‘word,’ the ‘decree,’ that is,  the ‘destiny ‘of Joseph came to be, he was tried, yes, Joseph was proved like molten metal, having all his heart  impurities being driven to the surface of his life, so, that like hot black & sinful scum, they might be dragged off into the fire & sand. How long does this purification of the saints take to prepare them for God’s destiny? It takes as long as it takes. But look now, for where does Pharaoh find the favorite of heaven? Look again, for where does this despot find the darling of God’s desire? Below him, forgotten, hidden in darkness and chains. Indeed, I wonder if like Jacob, Joseph also limped, his feet having long festered in the fetters of God’s proving? In some way, all God-trained servants, have limps & lisps.
