So here we are. At the end of my first month having up a Patreon page. And it went way better than I could have imagined. To start, I want to thank each and every one of my Patrons and Paypal donators for the month of January. I was able to bring in a total of about $600 this past month. You guys are the ones who are going to make this project a reality. While a lot of other people out there are only approaching me with lists of demands of "oh I want this" and "oh can you add this feature for me," you people are the ones who are actually willing to put in the effort to actually help to make this project a reality! And ensure that it turns out just as amazing as I've dreamed it could be.
I would like to give a special shout out to my top donators for the month:
Your generous donations alone bought in a good sized chunk of the amount above, and really helped me to not only pay for new costs for the month, but also to help pay off some of the MASSIVE deficit I have from paying for out of pocket sprite costs for some time now. I also want to give a shout out to my $20+ tier Patrons: Chuck, DanielB, Slybo, TonyS and DanielD!
I also want to make sure that all of my other Paypal contributors gets recognition as well. Thanks goes out to AndyA, DanielC, JavierS, RomanM and MichaelM for their contributions. Believe me when I say, all these amounts add up quick and really make a sizable difference!
And finally, thanks to all of my other Patrons who took the time to support me this past January as well. Trust me when I say that when it comes time to ask for volunteers to beta test releases or take suggestions for new features, all of my loyal patrons and donators will be given TOP PRIORITY for their generosity.
Now onto my update:
*At the moment, I am working on having the final sprites for the wolf form's animations (primarily the necessary limbs when on slopes and stairs) completed by a skilled spriter named Diego.
*Simultaneously, I have someone blueprinting out the concept info for the first stage.
*I also have a very talented artist named Robson who is doing new character portraits. He has so far done Alucard (as you can clearly see in my new icon) and is currently working on Richter next.
*I have also begun coding in the animations for Classic Richter using his new sprites as well.
*And have had several people contribute some amazing sound clips for the wolf form that I plan to implement this week.
The next big thing I will need to do is hire an effects artist to create the new flames, explosions and particles I will need for the demo. This will probably be a pricey endeavor, so believe me when I say, I'll be putting any February donations to GOOD USE as well.
And with that, I need to get back to work. Stay tuned to this page for any further updates and news. Deuces.
