We were so happy to get a positive reception on the analysis video we released Friday. I lost my voice on Thursday and have not fully regained it, so our normal recording day (yesterday) will be later in the week. In the meantime, we have some fun stuff on the channel:
Today, Monday the 6th:
- GBC Games - Drymouth And Blade (Game Boy Color) - Our first foray into Game Boy Color games on the channel. Drymouth is an unlicensed Picross-style game, and Blade was developed by WayForward (of Shantae fame). Both games are awesome, so be sure to check it out!
Wednesday & Friday will potentially look like this:
- Revisiting the GBA Castlevania Games (Game Boy Advance) - A analytical look at the three Metroidvania-style Castlevania games. We look at the opening minutes of each game and compare map and game design.
- A Wild Game Appears! - Splasher (PC) - Releasing on Feb 7, this is a Super Meat Boy-esque 2D platformer that looks challenging, fast-paced, and potentially tons of fun. This is the developer's first title on Steam as well and we're always happy to showcase Indie games like this one!
There may or may not also be a Glass Breaker Devlog in the mix this week. We're really looking forward to letting people test the game and give their feedback on it. That should be happening soon (tm).
Additionally, as soon as my voice returns in full, we'll start recording the audio for the next analysis video. Updates on that should be coming soon.
Thank you for your patronage and have a great week!
Ed (& Joe in spirit)
