So, the Patreon has dipped down to be below the $714 funding level where I make 5 blog posts every week, with a big one each Monday.
I WANT to just make posts all this week anyway, and I'll certainly make some, but the fact of the matter is I need my writing to be bringing in income right now rather than taking time to make extra content I give away. I know a lot of people wonder if supporting this Patreon really makes a difference, since I give most of the content away for free--the clearest way I know to show that importance is by sticking with the funding levels and not maintaining the ramped-up posting level I've been keeping since October until the Patreon can justify it again.
So, today's blog post is in reserve right now -- it's a piece on d20 game system design focusing on how feat prerequisites work and what the different kinds of prerequisites are. I'll go ahead and write up the other 4 posts for this week, at minimum. But I'm going to keep most of them in reserve.
If we pop up over the $714 level any time between now and Dec 16th, I'll post all the week's content and you won't have missed anything. If not I'll still post it all, just more gradually so I'll have more time for direct income-generating writing.
I've really enjoyed being able to spend more time on my blog and Patreon posts, so I am hoping a few of you can convince friends and colleagues to throw a few bucks a month at this project, allowing me to get back to the high-volume of material.
Thanks for ALL your support. I hope to post a few small items exclusively at Patrons this week, to try to show my appreciation for all of you still backing my writing and take any sting out of the bigger posts being suspended temporarily.
