This Week's Reviews - QSR week of 02/13/2017
Mon - Glittership [February 2017] (2 stories)

Tues - Clarkesworld #125 (4 stories)

Wed - Beneath Ceaseless Skies #218 (2 stories)

Thurs - Strange Horizons [early Feb 2017] (not sure yet...)

Fri - The Monthly Round at Nerds of a Feather (9 stories)

February continues to be a rather full one. This is the second full week of reviews and gets right down to business looking at Glittership, one of my new-to-2017 publications, with a pair of original stories. Clarkesworld is actually a little lighter than I've been used to recently with only four original pieces, and then Beneath Ceaseless Skies with it's standard two and a big ol' question mark with Strange Horizons. Probably 2 stories, 2 poems, maybe a nonfiction? The week closes with The Monthly Round, which I'm trying to find a more consistent format to. Maybe people have noticed in the last few months that my style wrt the reviews has changed a bit. I'm still tweaking and this month will be slightly different again.

Otherwise things continue to move forward. February is a bit full with new content from both Lackington's and Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, but the quality on those is both exceptional. I'm not sure if there will be even more releases, but I'm trying to keep my eyes open (which, fuck, I see that The Sockdolager has a special issue out so I guess the month isn't going to magically become less full any time soon).

In personal project news, I've started the process of doing the next Quick Questions post and the February Year of Garak will be utterly amazing. Just really, really fun so far. I'm excited to get to read the next Goosebumps book, too, which I have like zero memory of (The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb). I went looking for a show of the book but didn't see one, but did see one for Revenge of the Mummy, which seems odd. I'll look again to see if there's a show of the first book and not just the sequel. I'm also hard at work on some other projects. I recorded a new short fiction rec list for Cabbages and Kings that will hopefully be up this month, with the theme of "stories told as falls." Which might sound very specific because it is but it's something I've been thinking about recently. So yeah, that's about it for now. Thank you all so much for your continued support! It is so important to me! Cheers!
