This week is all about lighting, and how it works with photos.
Best times to work with photos are going to be early morning, or late afternoon when the sun is up, but not sky high. OR in a cloudy day where its bright, but the sun isn't beating down on you. These provide some of the best lighting one could ask for.
Next, always make sure you're shooting with the sun behind you if its super sunny out, or from the side. Shooting with the sun in front of you can have weird shadowing effects on your subject that you may not like. Test test and more testing is the way to go!
