To Be Elsewhere

I wish I were in the dark wood
Where my feelings are always good.

I say “hi” to the Cedar,
He’s such a great greeter.

I listen to the Maple,
She told me a joyous fable.

I sit with the grove of Oak,
They are such friendly folk.

But I spend most of my time with Willow,
Who is such a sad fellow.

Perhaps my feelings aren’t always good,
But I still want to be in the dark wood.
