Mega Man #41 Archie (November, 2014) "Legends Of The Blue Bomber" part 1: "With Grace, Without Fear" WRITER: Ian Flynn PENCILER: Powree INKER: Gary Martin COLORIST: Matt Herms SELECTED COVER ART: Vince Riley LETTERER: John Workman ASSISTANT EDITOR: Vincent Lovallo EDITOR: Paul Kaminski The adaptation of Mega Man 3 finally begins. Mega Man and Rush travel to the first missing asteroid. There they meet the showman Top Man, who wants Mega Man to put on a spectacular battle performance, and Snake Man, who plans to use Rock's fears against him. Meanwhile, Roll continues to suspect Wily and gives Auto a mission. What they got right: This arc appears to be how the Robot Masters look at Mega Man and I like that. I've seen, in fan works like the late Bob And George sprite comic, Top Man depicted as gay or at least flamboyant. He's toned down from those comics but I like his showman attitude. Snake Man is legitimately scary, but at a kid-friendly level. They're some of the best Robot Master characterizations yet. What they got wrong: With no major flaws to the story I want to go to the cover. That huge #1 on the movie cover (the one I ended up with) is very confusing. Recommendation: This is one of the comics I'm really going to miss until I find a job. Pick them in up in my place and you won't be disappointed.
