Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time #2 IDW (July, 2014) WRITER: Erik Burnham ARTIST: Charles Paul Wilson COLORIST: Jeremy Mohler (artists include selected cover) LETTERER: Shawn Lee EDITOR: Bobby Curnow The guys end up in feudal Japan, where they meet their father, mother, and themselves in their human years. Knowing what's to come, one of our heroes plans to change history, and another will be forced to stop him. What they got right: I had my doubts about this story going in but I only have a couple minor issues, and one is personal preference. Someone even remembered that Michelangelo somehow retained the ability to understand and speak Japanese. What they got wrong: Some of the fight panels are Michael Bay standard too close but not all. It was enough that I don't have a Best Scene here. Also, this appears to lead to Saki killing the Hamato clan and I hate when stories pull the "we cause our own origin story". Recommendation: This was the rare example of a time travel story doing everything right, outside of that personal preference gripe. It was still a good read, and worth checking out.
