Tokyo Pop 01 (August/September 1999)
Japan week continues with issue one of Tokyo Pop, the magazine previously known as MixxZine, which is why it begins at volume three. Since it's a new title with a new editor, I'll just call it issue one.

Gaming coverage includes Legend of Mana, Lunar 2, Frame Gride, Metal Gear Integral, and an import game strategy guide for SaGa Frontier 2. This is interesting (and unique to this magazine as far as I can tell) because it helps English speakers prepare for what challenges they face importing a particular game. It even includes a warning that the game was made incompatible with PlayStation modchips at the time and that import players would need a new or updated modchip in order to play it—useful info you wouldn't find in a mainstream gaming magazine in the USA.
