Traveling Cowboys: Onsite and Undercover at Tairua Butchery in the Coromandel in New Zealand
Our first stop, when we arrive in New Zealand, is usually at a local butcher.

The produce and lamb is just phenomenal in this part of the world and you can still find the local butcher, and grocer in small towns. We've heard about the Tairua Butchery and picked up some local cheese (yes, at the Butcher), a deboned lamb shoulder, some leg of lamb steaks and two mean pork chops.

Next step was grilling it on the BBQ back in Onemana, Coromandel. This is the best recipe for getting over jet-lag if there ever was one.

Next stop... for a cold local brew.

Thank you for following our travels and being our patrons.
