Trout Lake
Sometimes it takes a huge effort to achieve a modest goal.  The hike to Trout Lake in Glacier National Park, was a bit further and steeper than I had anticipated, and given the time constraints on this day, I had only time to rest a moment, take this one beautiful image, and turn around to hike back over the mountain.

Was it worth it?  Absolutely.  Because in addition to this one image, I had the rare opportunity to hike with my brother and connect one-on-one.  Although Trout Lake was the destination, the journey was worth much more.  As I contemplate my goals for the coming year, this experience serves as a reminder to me that I should pursue things that will fulfill me in the process, not only the outcome.

I hope you enjoy the view!
