You know, there's a certain kind of beauty and freedom that comes when you stop being afraid of being ugly.

I don't mean just physically ugly, but ugly as in REAL. when you put down the performance and own that you are in fact, not the shit and you stop showing off for cookies and praise.

Sure, cookies and praise are great, but they taste like wet sand until you earn them through being your unfiltered self.

I know people who carry a golden nugget of goodness in themselves, but they keep it buried under layers and layers of eyeliner and bullshit to the point that that nugget of good become nigh irrelevant.

*that* is tragic.
