Uriel archangel of Light [Public Post]
Dear Patrons and Visitors,
this week my patrons week requested a piece about a poem or short story.
I chose the first of The Duino Elegies by Rilke, these verses in particular:

Who, if I cried out, would hear me among the Angelic
Orders? And even if one were to suddenly
take me to its heart, I would vanish into its
stronger existence. For beauty is nothing but
the beginning of terror, that we are still able to bear,
and we revere it so, because it calmly disdains
to destroy us. Every Angel is terror.

I have always loved those verses by Rilke, and there is a character in my novel that embodies perfectly well that terror. Uriel archangel of Light.

What do you think?

Bear hugs!
