Walnut Dye Comparison
Well the tests have been successful. What you see in the middle is the result of three 24hr cycles of dying followed by treating the leather with beeswax and olive oil. The result is a fairly rich brown. On the right you can see the leather before being dyed. On the left you can see the results of fiebings light brown dye. The walnut dye is much more historically accurate and, in my opinion, produces a much nicer shade of brown.
